Back 2 The Future – Labiche FSC 1 Flying Car

Labiche Aerospace FSC-1

LaBiche Aerospace created a 3D model prototype for the first flying car. The FSC-1 resembles a high speed sports car similar to a Lamborghini in body style and design. That is until the bottom of the car doors flip up and half of the hood opens and plane wings fold out.

Labiche claims the car will reach a top speed of 275 miles per hour with 450 BHP horsepower and will be the world’s fastest car. But Labiche Aerospace says that 275 mph is its top speed “in the air” so wouldn’t that make it the worlds slowest plane? On the ground as a car it can go 180 mph. Takeoff speed before you start flying is 80 mph.

The power under the hood comes from is supercharged Chevrolet-LS2 C6 Corvette 2005 crate engine. The FSC-1 flying car is a gas guzzler when it’s not flying, drinking a gallon every 15 miles in the city and 25 on the freeway.

When you switch the FSC-1 from car mode to plane mode you need to speed up to 80 mph to take off. LaBiche Aerospace says the car (plane) is in production and has a “order form?!” on their website and a interactive video to see the car plane switch from car mode to plane mode.
