Alicia Keys has teamed up with Native Instruments to release her very own piano software for the Kontakt player called Alicia’s Keys. It samples Alicia playing her Yamaha C3 Neo grand piano, recorded by sampling expert Thomas Scarbee, and studio engineer Ann Mincieli in her personal studio Oven House. Every note is recorded at 12 different velocities using various microphone placements for realistic dynamics. Alicia’s Keys pre-orders can be made now, and the software will be available on April 1, 2010 retailing for $119. (Mac/PC)
